Tunnel Point
Large boulders at this northern point are stacked so that they form tunnel-like passages, caves and small canyons, which makes the dive quite different from the coral slopes elsewhere on Redang. In one place a boulder moved by the surf can be heard creaking against its neighbours. Gorgonian fans cling to the walls among soft and hard corals, and shy animals hide in the dark gaps between the rocks. Bumphead parrotfish, small barracuda, jacks and nudibranchs are among the regular sightings. Like Tanjung Tokong it lies away from the resorts near the protected turtle beach at Chagar Hutang, and its corals are counted among the healthiest around the island.
