Folias Wreck

Also known as: Folias · Naufragio Folias · Foliax

The Folias ran aground after a fire on board and now lies on its port side on a clay bottom a few hundred metres off Playa Parana. At low tide parts of the starboard side and superstructure break the surface, so operators recommend diving at high tide. Storms have broken up parts of the hull, and a large bronze propeller is one of its features. Algae, anemones, polyps, mussels, crabs and spider crabs cover the wreck, and groupers and octopus shelter inside.
