Shark Point
Also known as: Perhentian Shark Point
Fields of staghorn coral spread over a fairly flat reef that fades into clean sand. Blacktip reef sharks hunt over the shallow reef, which gives the site its name. Hawksbill and green turtles, barracuda, batfish, snappers and pufferfish are seen on most dives. Guides advise staying at depth for the main part of the dive because the surface can be busy with snorkellers and small boats. The twin pinnacles of Batu Kapal lie just to the south and are often dived together with it.
