Mermaid's Grotto
Also known as: Mermaid Grotto · Mermaids Grotto
A short walk through woodland leads to a beach with striking rock formations, and divers enter through a channel cut through the reef. Beyond lies a platform of hard coral with crevices, canyons and swim-throughs where sunlight falls through openings in the limestone. Green turtles, octopus, giant pufferfish and great barracuda live here, and lobsters and batfish are met in the passages. There are no facilities, and divers may have to exit elsewhere and walk back. The entry depends on the tide.
