Tanikely Sud
Also known as: Tanikely South · Nosy Tanikely South
The small drop-off on the south side of Nosy Tanikely is known for its coral architecture of big spurs, with the finest coral between about 2 and 6 m. Beyond the wall, small coral spurs rise from the sand at around 16 to 20 m. Leopard sharks, whitetip reef sharks, guitarfish and blue-spotted stingrays are among the regular sightings, along with snappers, barracudas and large lobsters. Table corals mixed with sponges cover parts of the reef, and turtles are common in the reserve.
