Lighthouse

Also known as: Lighthouse Reef

Lighthouse lies in a protected bay in the north of Malapascua. Its staghorn coral hides a colony of mandarinfish that rise in pairs at sunset to spawn, and dive centres time the dive to catch this ritual, which is most active around full moon. As darkness falls, seahorses, bobtail squid, starry night octopus, shrimp and crabs appear, with blue-ringed octopus seen now and then. The shallow depth makes it popular for training by day and as a first night dive.
