Frogfish Town
Frogfish Town was discovered by Mafia Island Diving off Utende Beach. The reef starts at around 9 m and is dominated by algae, soft corals, sponges and anemones in many colours. Among the sponges divers look for frogfish and harlequin shrimp. Further east the topography becomes more varied, with small caverns and tiny rock pinnacles that hold nudibranchs and shrimps. When low tide falls in the evening, it is used for night dives.
