Sheraton Beach Resort

Also known as: Sheraton Beach · Sheraton Red Sea Resort

Divers enter from the private resort beach and cross a channel to reach the reef. One diver reports the terrain going from about 5 m to beyond 30 m within a short distance, and SCUBA Travel lists depths of 10 to 40 m. The quick access to depth makes the site popular both for training and for deep dives. Napoleon wrasse, little dragonfish and harlequin shrimp are among the sightings, an octopus lives in the channel and a snake eel is sometimes seen. Dolphins have been reported passing in the early morning. Swell can make the channel difficult or impossible to cross.
