Ukishima Beach

Also known as: 浮島ビーチ (Japanese) · Futo Beach

The beach lies north of scenic Dogashima and sits on the traces of a submarine volcano about five million years old. Arches, tunnels and holes on both sides of the bay make it a geo-dive as well as a macro site. Broad sand with artificial reefs and guide ropes lets divers explore safely, and there is virtually no current. Rare nudibranchs appear frequently, alongside crustaceans and reef fish. It suits beginners and self-guided dives.
