Shobusawa Wreck

Also known as: 菖蒲沢 沈船 (Japanese)

The wreck rests on bright white sand about three minutes by boat from Shobusawa. Because it was sunk deliberately in 2003, its shape is still intact, and divers can look into the wheelhouse. Soft corals grow on the hull, nudibranchs and frogfish live on it, and cardinalfish and other schooling fish sometimes cover the whole ship. In good visibility the entire vessel can be seen at once.
