Shobusawa Beach

Also known as: 菖蒲沢ビーチ (Japanese)

A gentle slope leads to boulders and then to white sand further out. From spring to summer kelp and other seaweeds grow thickly, and in winter Japanese lumpsuckers, including tiny juveniles, and snailfish can be seen. Large stingrays are sometimes sighted on the shallow sand. Night dives are possible all year.
