Ita Beach
Also known as: 井田ビーチ (Japanese)
Ita is a quiet village between mountains and the sea, and its single dive site lets divers enter anywhere along a rocky shore about 200 m long. Good water exchange keeps visibility high and gives the deep blue its name. Schools of takabe, fusiliers, cardinalfish and bannerfish gather, and warty frogfish and anthias add colour in summer and autumn. Winter brings more nudibranchs, and sea fans and soft corals reach the height of a person. Mount Fuji is visible to the north.
