Hayama

Also known as: ハヤマ (Japanese)

Nakagi, at the southern tip of the peninsula, is strongly influenced by the Kuroshio Current, which gives clear water and many fish. At Hayama branching Acropora coral grows on a boulder slope at about 8 m, creating a tropical scene with butterflyfish and damselfish. In autumn schools of black skipjack and bannerfish and juvenile yellow boxfish arrive, and amberjack sometimes sweep through. With almost no current, it suits divers of every level.
