Yaene
Also known as: Kyu-Yaene
Divers enter from the slipway into a shallow bay of 3 to 5 m with tetrapods and intertwined rocks before the bottom drops away. Further out, beyond a small drop-off, lies a large arch at around 12 to 18 m, decorated with soft coral and fan corals, with a large clownfish colony in front of it. Shops report green turtles on almost every dive and rich macro life including nudibranchs, harlequin shrimp and frogfish. In season amberjack and rainbow runners hunt here, and stingrays appear in the cooler months. Its sheltered layout makes it one of the most reliable sites on the island.
