Wing Beach
Also known as: Wing · Wing Crevasse
From the north end of the beach divers follow a flat rocky slope and the reef wall outward until a tall rock tower and a deep crack in the wall appear; Aqua Connections puts the crevasse at about 30 m. The topography with crevasses and drop-offs is the main draw, and the tourism authority adds that the site is known for shark encounters and Spanish dancers at night. Lionfish and morays live in the crevasse, juvenile palette surgeonfish gather in summer, and turtles are regular. The beach entry is a cut in the reef where a strong rip can run, so shops sometimes rig a rope for the swim back. North winds limit diving here to the summer season.
