Grand Anse Beach
Most of the area is seagrass with a scattering of reef boulders, in very shallow water. The animals are well camouflaged, so patience pays off. Octopus, reef and seagrass squid, flying gurnards, seahorses, pipefish, puffers and sharptail eels are among the finds, with the occasional torpedo ray on the sand. The beach is busy with swimmers and watersports, and local dive centres run clean-up dives here.
