Lost Anchor

Only the iron of the anchor is left: its wooden stock has rotted away, and the iron fittings that once held the stock lie somewhere on the surrounding sea floor. Schools of fusiliers and bluefin jacks pass over the reef, and eagle rays and dogtooth tuna are sometimes seen. Two large Javanese moray eels live in the crevices below, together with giant scorpionfish and stonefish, and Blue Water mentions a pair of anglerfish. Destination Ile Maurice lists it opposite the Club Med at Pointe aux Canonniers for level 2 divers.
