Reqqa Point
Also known as: Ras ir-Reqqa · Reqqa Reef
Divers can start on either side of the point: the western side is shallower with a reef top at about 17 m, while the eastern side is cut by fissures and drops to a sandy bottom at 25 m and beyond 60 m further out. Around the point, house-sized boulders hide groupers, octopus, moray eels, spiny lobsters and large scorpionfish, and dentex, rays and barracuda hunt along the drop-off. Shrimp's Cave lies to the west and the deep Bottleneck chimney is reserved for very experienced divers. The site is exposed to the prevailing north-westerly winds and is only dived in calm seas.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
