The ship had lost its bow in a collision and was waiting at Truk for repairs when it was sunk. It went down sticking out of the water, and its guns were later taken ashore. Divers look at the propellers, rudder, troop quarters and engine room at the stern. Dive3D notes that snorkellers explore the rusting hull from the surface.
