I-169 Submarine
Also known as: I-169 Shinohara · I-169 Shinohara Submarine
The submarine had taken part in the attack on Pearl Harbor before it sank at its anchorage when the crew failed to close ventilators during an alarm dive. Attempts to raise it failed, and charges later wrecked the forward section. The aft section is relatively intact. Penetration is not recommended because of silt and tight spaces, and divers are asked to treat the site with respect. Jellyfish, turtles and the odd ray or shark are seen around it.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
