Wilderness Wall

Wilderness Wall is one of several pristine walls along the Brac's south coast, about 20 minutes by boat from the Cayman Brac Beach Resort. The wall starts at roughly 15 m and plunges far into the blue, cut by canyons and crevices, while a large pinnacle stands off the face and forms a corridor where pelagic fish pass. Sponges grow to great size in red, yellow, orange, purple and green, with gorgonians, rope sponges and tube sponges on the promontories. Nassau groupers, horse-eye jacks, snappers and angelfish are common, turtles feed on sponges on the inner reef and southern stingrays rest in the sand. It is also one of the few Brac sites where hammerhead sharks have been seen.
