Cala Escalerica

Also known as: La Escalerica · Escalerita · Cala Escalera

La Escalerica mixes Posidonia meadows, sandy patches, scattered rock formations and big boulders that reach the surface. Passages cut into the rock and routes between the rock masses make it varied enough for repeated dives. Moray eels, octopus, salemas, white seabream and trumpetfish are common, and groupers, rays and barracuda schools turn up from time to time. The cove is sheltered from northerly and easterly winds but exposed when the southwest wind blows. It is a short boat ride from the harbour and can also be reached from shore.
