Shark Point
Shark Point lies more than an hour and a half by boat from Bayahibe, close to Catalinita Island. The wall drops to about 25 m and has many small caverns among old coral heads. Reef and nurse sharks, southern stingrays, eagle rays and eels are regular sightings, which is rare in the Dominican Republic. Diving Dominican Republic describes it as a site for advanced divers and notes that access is sometimes restricted, so the status should be checked before booking.
