Punta Cacón

Also known as: Cacon

Punta Cacón rises from the sea floor as a hill covered in soft corals and sponges in colours from yellow to purple. The west side of Saona is protected from the wind, so the sea is usually calm. Parrotfish, trumpetfish, angelfish and barracuda are common, and nurse sharks, stingrays, eagle rays and turtles are also seen.
