Moon Valley
A sandy channel leads through the fringing reef to soft coral gardens where unicornfish, octopus, rays, humphead wrasse and hawksbill turtles are seen. The best corals lie between about 15 and 25 m on a gentle but long slope. Eagle rays and schools of fusiliers pass in the blue, and barracuda appear more often than at other Aqaba sites. Because the reef keeps sloping down before dropping away, divers must watch their depth closely. Arab Divers warns against entering an unexplored cave further down.
