Barge Reef
Concrete barges rise almost to the surface and rest on a sloping reef inside the harbour. The reef starts at about 50 ft and falls away on all sides to a sandy bottom at around 120 ft. Large sponge colonies grow here and rainbow runners school over the site, while reef fish and invertebrates hide between the ribs of the barge. Because few divers come here, it is a quiet alternative to the busier harbour wrecks.
