Reputed to be the oldest marine park in Africa, located off Malindi on Kenya's north coast, enclosed within the wider Malindi Marine National Reserve.
Malindi Marine National Park was established in 1968 and is administered by the Kenya Wildlife Service, lying about 118 km north of Mombasa. It is enclosed, together with the neighboring Watamu Marine National Park, within the larger Malindi Marine National Reserve. The park's attractions include coral reefs, tropical fish, barracuda, sea turtles and dolphins.
