Dykkesenter Nilaveli Diving Centre Nilaveli

Nilaveli Diving Centre is based on Nilaveli Beach, opposite Pigeon Islands, near Trincomalee on Sri Lanka’s east coast. It teaches in English, German, Czech, Sinhala and Tamil. The PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Resort runs boat dives to reef, rock, deep and night sites around Nilaveli, Uppuveli and Trincomalee, at depths of 6 to 30 metres and about 5 to 30 minutes from shore. Each boat group is limited to five divers with one guide, and nitrox is available. East-coast diving is seasonal: the centre operates from 15 March to 15 November, with the best conditions from mid-April to late October. The centre supports Project Aware and contributes 250 AUD monthly to marine conservation. PADI training ranges from beginner courses through Divemaster, with an Instructor Development Course held annually.
