Michael N. Maris Wreck
Also known as: Michael N. Maris · Maris · Michael N. Maris Shipwreck
The steamer hit a rock through a navigation error in July 1932 and now sits upright and largely intact in open water, where instruments are needed to find it. One dive centre calls it one of the best preserved wrecks of its period in the Adriatic. The same centre reports that the wreck is so densely covered with gorgonians that the first divers were not sure whether it was a reef or a ship, and the other describes the gorgonians as purple. Large fish hunt between them. A shot line is used for the descent and ascent.

Vote for the name divers really use. Divers who logged a dive here count double. The votes are counted every night, and the main name only changes when another name has led clearly for a week.
