Clam City
Giant Tridacna clams weighing up to about 110 kg are scattered over the coral slope and sandy bottom. Staghorn corals and large Porites heads shelter anthias, sergeant majors, Moorish idols and chromis. The site has no current and is shallow, so it suits novice divers and snorkelers, and boats often stop here for lunch. The clams close quickly when a diver's shadow blocks the sunlight. Fish 'n Fins notes that the island is privately owned and that permission is needed.
