Black Coral Garden

Also known as: Black Coral Garden Redang · Pulau Lima, Black Coral

This slope on the western side of Pulau Lima is known for its gardens of hard black coral and for wide fields of anemones and other soft corals. Divers enter on the sloping reef and work their way down to around 30 m. Some artificial reef structures at the site carry healthy coral growth. Currents can swirl around the island and are usually strong around full moon, and Wannadive rates the site for advanced open water divers. Giant puffers, triggerfish, angelfish, stingrays, hawksbill turtles and blacktip reef sharks are among the sightings.
