Mixing Bowl
Also known as: Three Fathom Wall · 3 Fathom Wall
The alternative name Three Fathom Wall refers to the wall top at about three fathoms (18 ft), and the site marks the boundary between the Bloody Bay and Jackson's Bight sections. West of the mooring the wall drops vertically, while to the east a coral ridge parallel to the shoreline holds large schools of grunts and snapper, and the Jackson's sand flats begin. Swim-throughs through rugged coral fingers pop out onto a wall covered in purple, red, yellow and orange sponges. Groupers, moray eels, turtles, sharks and a large barracuda under the boat are typical, and yellowhead jawfish, stingrays and eagle rays use the sand. Conch Club Divers named it the island's most frequently dived site.
