Maona

A small vessel about 40 m long lying near the Sveti Ivan lighthouse off Rovinj at roughly 30 to 36 m. Close to the coast and usually with good visibility, it is one of the easier wreck dives of the area.
The Maona rests on the seabed a short distance from the lighthouse of Sveti Ivan in front of Rovinj. It still carries a well preserved gun, according to Starfish and Wannadive. Like an artificial reef the hull draws large numbers of small fish, and lobsters, scorpionfish, conger eels and octopus are often found around the stern. Its nearness to shore makes it a frequent summer trip from Rovinj.
