Playground

Playground sits between Isla Colon, Isla Solarte and Isla Carenero, only a few minutes from town. Red sea stars on white sand contrast with dense coral, which makes the site popular with photographers. The remains of a shipwreck are now so overgrown that they are hard to recognise, and colourful fish, molluscs and nudibranchs hide among the coral. Divers should watch for the stinging cauliflower jellyfish and follow the guide on ascent because of boat traffic. Hawksbill turtles are sometimes seen between April and June.
