Papuan Explorer
The Papuan Explorer was a steel freighter that was sunk on purpose in 1987 to create an artificial reef. It lies at Nananu-i-Ra in about 20 m, close to shore, which makes it one of the more popular dives from Rakiraki. Dive The World and Diveplanit both call it Fiji's largest and most accessible wreck. Both describe it as teeming with marine life.
