Pescador Tunnels
Also known as: Pescador Cavern
Instead of swimming over the reef, divers enter a long tunnel that runs underneath it at around 27 to 30 metres. Large spiny lobsters and spider crabs hide inside, and tarpon feed on the glassy sweepers in the grottoes. The tunnel opens onto a steep drop-off of a couple of hundred feet, with a view into the blue. Cubera snappers rise from the deep to hunt here, and yellowtail, pompano, big groupers and turtles are also seen.
