Dive center Urban Sports

Urban Sports is in Shonai, Yamagata, Japan, with diving around Kamo, Yotsushima and Tobishima. It works in a mix of recreational, technical and rebreather diving, with SSI, PADI and SDI-TDI-ERDI training paths, and it also runs courses for beginners and instructor level. The centre has been operating since 1995 and presents itself as a resort-style training dive centre. Its base includes a pool, boat access, classrooms, shower rooms and an equipment display area, and it uses nitrox made on site. Fun diving is arranged with local guides, usually in teams of five to six guests with two pro staff, and the diving includes beach entries at Kamo, a jetty dive at Yotsushima and boat diving around Tobishima. The centre also takes part in coastal and underwater cleanups.
