Logbook

Your dives and your photos in the same place

A paper log gets wet, and a phone gallery no longer knows which reef that was. Here a dive keeps its numbers, its site, its buddy and its pictures together — and only you see them.

What the logbook keeps for you

Dive

The numbers that matter

Date, depth, bottom time, conditions — the fields a log has always had, in a form that adds up afterwards.

Photos

Pictures on the dive

Upload photos to the dive they were taken on, mark a favourite and delete what did not work. They stay with the entry.

Site

Linked to the real place

Link a dive to a dive site instead of typing a name. The site page then tells you next time what is down there.

Statistics

Your diving, added up

Number of dives, total bottom time, countries dived — figures that also feed your public profile once you switch it on.

From the dive to the entry

Step 1

Enter the dive

Date, depth and time are enough to begin with. The rest can follow later.

Step 2

Add site and buddy

Link the dive site and, if you have one, the buddy who was with you.

Step 3

Upload the photos

Pictures go to that dive and stay there. One of them can be the favourite the entry is shown with.

Every entry counts

Logged dives are worth points, and so are the countries you record and a profile you keep up to date. Most of a diver's score comes from the logbook, simply because that is where the diving is.

And your dive centre shares in it

If you are a fan of a dive centre, ten per cent of your total is added to that centre's score. Keeping your log therefore does two things at once: it preserves your diving and it backs the base you dive from.

Your entries and your photos are private. There is no sharing function today.

Questions about the logbook

Who can see my dives?

Only you. Entries and photos are not visible to anyone else, not even to buddies. What can become public is the statistics derived from them, and only if you switch on your profile.

Can I share a photo with my buddy?

Not today. Photos belong to your entry and stay there. If that changes, it will say so here.

Do I have to fill in everything?

No. A few fields are enough for an entry; the rest is voluntary and can be completed whenever you feel like it.

What becomes of my old paper log?

Past dives can be entered with their original date. The statistics count them exactly like a dive from last week.

Start with your last dive

One entry is enough to see how it works. The other two hundred can follow at your own pace.
