Starlight Parade

Also known as: スターライトパレード (Japanese) · SLP

The site sits among submerged rocks, which keeps the schools together and lets divers watch them closely. Bluestripe snapper, goatfish and striped large-eye bream crowd together in huge numbers, with sweetlips resting on the sand and soldierfish under ledges. The name comes from the way these schools seem to parade past. Yuta Shigeno reports meeting a humpback whale underwater here.
