Shikahama

Also known as: 鹿浜 (Japanese)

Large boulders are scattered over the site, and a cave or arch between the rocks at about 20 m is home to sand tiger sharks. They are seen most reliably when the water is cool from autumn to winter, with up to five at a time, but some stay all year so summer sightings are possible. Divers line up outside the cave to watch without disturbing them. Its depth makes it a comfortable site for photography.
