Hon Drop

Also known as: 本ドロップ (Japanese)

Giant trevally, some over a metre long, circle while cleaner wrasse work on them, and in early summer they gather to spawn. Shops advise waiting quietly in their path to get close. Whitetip reef sharks, turtles, dogtooth tuna, Napoleon wrasse and spotted eagle rays are also reported, and manta rays are mentioned in winter. On the wall there are morays, nudibranchs and anemonefish, and pygmy seahorses live on deeper sea fans.
