Le Junker 88
Also known as: Le Junker
This German bomber went down in 1943 and lies west of the Frioul islands, between Pomègues and Ratonneau, on a muddy bottom beyond 50 m. The aircraft is fairly complete, although a trawl has moved it: the glazed nose is broken, but the canopy frame, many cockpit instruments and the left wing with its engine remain. Many fishing nets and wire ropes surround the wreck, and even light current quickly stirs up the mud. Plongée Tek Marseille asks for French level 3 with advanced nitrox.
