Duane's Release

The site, called Scooter by locals, lies between REDIHO and Playa Hulu. It is named after Duane Hendrix, a young diver who died in 2004. Hard corals mix with soft corals and gorgonians that shelter seahorses and slender filefish. Octopus, arrow crabs, Pederson shrimps and eagle rays are among the sightings. The shallow area at the end keeps divers busy during the safety stop.
