Barracuda Lake
Coron Wrecks and Divezone describe a few metres of fresh water at the top over salt water, with a marked thermocline at about 14 metres where the water becomes much warmer. The underwater landscape of limestone ridges and walls is often compared to flying over the moon. Near 35 metres the clear water turns brown over a soft, silty bottom. Fish life is sparse, with gobies, shrimps and a large barracuda that gave the lake its name. A narrow cave entered at about 33 metres runs about 30 metres and needs cave or cavern training.
