San Francisco Maru

Also known as: Million Dollar Wreck · San Fransisco Maru

Two Ha-Go light tanks stand on the forward deck, one on top of the other, and a third stands on the port side. The holds contain mines, artillery shells, aircraft bombs, torpedoes, trucks and aircraft parts, much of which must still be treated as dangerous. A bow gun is intact, and the superstructure can be explored. Dive The World and Scuba Diver Life describe it as a dive for technical or very experienced divers. The Cousteau team dived the wreck in 1969.
