East Chute

Also known as: Cayman Mariner · East Chute/Cayman Mariner

East Chute combines a wall dive with a small wreck. The drop-off is marked by a wide canyon of sand pouring over the edge into deep water, and the face is decorated with red rope sponges, yellow tube sponges and large barrel sponges. A short swim inshore, the Cayman Mariner, sunk in 1986, sits on sand in about 17 m with soft corals and sponges growing on and inside the hull. Turtles, green moray eels and schooling barracuda are among the animals seen here, and Brac Scuba Shack lists it among its staff favourites.
