Anga Faru
Also known as: Angafaru
The name translates as 'Mouth Reef'. The outer slope is steep in places and broken by overhangs full of blue soft corals, and divers drift along the reef. Juvenile grey reef sharks gather here, watched over by large nurse sharks, and the shark season is given as mid-January to March. Schools of snappers, tuna, turtles, eagle rays and manta rays are also reported. The reef's lagoon and sandbank are popular snorkel stops.
