Dilumacad Tunnel
Également connu sous le nom de : The Tunnel · Dilumacat Underwater Tunnel · Dilumacad Underwater Tunnel
The Dilumacad Tunnel was found by Japanese divers around 1989 to the early 1990s and has become one of El Nido's best-known dives. The entrance on the north side of the island lies at about 12 to 15 m and is wide enough for two divers side by side. Roughly halfway the passage opens into a cavern where shafts of light fall through openings in the ceiling onto schools of copper sweepers and glassfish. The exit is narrower and has to be passed one diver at a time, leading out to a field of large boulders. Sponges cover the walls, and ringed pipefish, electric clams, map pufferfish and nudibranchs live inside. Operators require advanced certification and avoid the site when strong north winds bring swell.
