Cabo Pulmo National Park is a marine protected area on the East Cape of Baja California Sur, Mexico, known for one of the oldest and northernmost coral reefs in the eastern Pacific.
Cabo Pulmo National Park lies on the Gulf of California coast roughly 100 km north of Cabo San Lucas. It was designated a national park in 1995 and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site 'Islands and Protected Areas of the Gulf of California' (2005), as well as a Ramsar wetland since 2008. The park protects a coral reef estimated at around 20,000 years old, and its recovery after strict no-take enforcement is widely cited as a marine conservation success story.
