Indonesia's best-known dive island, combining an accessible shipwreck at Tulamben with reef and pelagic diving off Nusa Penida.
Bali is the westernmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands; the province also includes Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan. At Tulamben lies the USAT Liberty, a roughly 120 m US Army cargo ship torpedoed in 1942 and shifted into deeper water by Mount Agung's 1963 eruption, now sitting between about 5 and 30 m and one of the world's most accessible wreck dives.
